Postdoctoral Scholar – Translational Behavioral & Cardio-Metabolic Research

About the role

The Postdoctoral Scholar will independently develop and execute innovative research projects in translational behavioral and cardio‑metabolic science, while training and mentoring students, residents, fellows, and other trainees.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, and prioritize research experiments, recommending schedules.
• Present research findings at local and national scientific conferences.
• Write technical publications and reports.
• Develop programs for data analysis and produce written result reports.
• Collect pilot data to support new and competing renewal grant applications.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate research students and conduct literature reviews.
• Adhere to University and unit policies, safeguarding assets.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree in a relevant field (required).
• No prior experience required; open to early‑stage investigators.
• Applicable certifications as defined by the department.
• Demonstrated learning agility, teamwork, technical proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
