Postdoctoral Scholar – Research Associate

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Postdoctoral Scholar to join its research team on the UHealth medical campus. The role involves independent development of new research ideas, troubleshooting assays, and mentoring trainees.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, and prioritize research experiments.
• Present findings at local and national scientific conferences.
• Write technical publications, reports, and grant‑supporting pilot data.
• Develop analysis programs and generate written results.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate research students and conduct literature reviews.
• Follow university policies and safeguard institutional assets.

Required profile

• MD or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field.
• No prior postdoctoral experience required.
• Strong ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
• Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑decision skills.
