About the role
The Blazek group at Northeastern University conducts cosmology research using theoretical, observational, and numerical methods. This postdoctoral position supports research on DES data and preparations for the Rubin Observatory and Roman Space Telescope.
Key responsibilities
- Perform basic or applied research of limited scope, primarily using existing theories and methods.
- Assist the supervisor in interpreting results, preparing publications, and supporting grant activities.
- Maintain the laboratory research team and provide functional supervision to supporting staff.
Required profile
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Physics or Astronomy.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Training in research methodology and quantitative data analysis.
- Experience in writing proposals and project management is a plus.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple senior researchers from different fields.
