Postdoctoral Fellow – Kaoud Laboratory

About the role

The Kaoud Laboratory at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences seeks a motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to study how the TRPM7 ion‑channel/kinase regulates cellular signaling and cancer cell plasticity.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute biochemical, molecular, cellular and biophysical experiments on TRPM7 signaling.
• Analyze data, prepare manuscripts, present findings and contribute to grant development.
• Mentor graduate, professional and undergraduate students in the laboratory.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, cancer biology, pharmacology, biophysics or a related biomedical discipline.
• Strong research experience in either protein biochemistry/molecular biology or molecular/cell biology.

• Recombinant protein expression and purification
• Molecular cloning and mutagenesis
• Biochemical assays
• Cryo‑electron microscopy (cryo‑EM)
• Patch‑clamp electrophysiology
• Proteomics and phosphoproteomics
