About the role
The Desai Sethi Urology Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to lead the development and implementation of Mass Spectrometry applications for translational and clinical research in urology.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute Mass Spectrometry workflows to investigate biochemical mechanisms of genitourinary disorders.
- Collaborate with principal investigators and a clinical urology team to integrate analytical data into ongoing research projects.
- Support tumor metabolism, molecular oncology, and drug‑development studies through data generation and interpretation.
- Contribute to clinical trial validation and translational studies using innovative analytical approaches.
- Prepare scientific reports, manuscripts, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in a relevant field such as biochemistry, analytical chemistry, molecular biology, or related discipline.
- Experience in a research laboratory with a focus on translational or clinical studies.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
