About the role
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Miami seeks a full‑time Postdoctoral Associate to advance research on mood, anxiety, and substance‑use disorders in adolescent and high‑risk adult populations. The position is based on the UHealth Campus and involves cutting‑edge neuroimaging and immunological methods.
Key responsibilities
- Design and conduct research studies on assigned topics.
- Prepare research reports and technical manuscripts for publication.
- Develop and apply advanced analytical models to support strategic decisions.
- Maintain compliance with university policies and safeguard assets.
Required profile
- MD or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Neuroimaging expertise or training preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Required skills
- Proficiency with at least one major neuroimaging software suite (e.g., FSL, AFNI, SPM, FreeSurfer, Caret, Connectome Workbench).
- Experience in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, and/or R.
- Skills in collecting, organizing, and analyzing fMRI and MR spectroscopy data.
