About the role

The Department of Physiology & Biophysics at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Postdoctoral Associate to join the Martemyanov Lab. The successful candidate will conduct independent and collaborative research in physiology and biophysics, contributing to the lab’s scientific output and advancing knowledge in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze experiments in assigned research areas.
• Prepare research reports, manuscripts, and technical papers for publication.
• Assess feasibility of applying diverse scientific principles and theories.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art methodologies.
• Develop analytical models and provide data‑driven solutions to support strategic decisions.
• Follow university and departmental policies, safeguarding institutional assets.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree (MD) in a relevant field.
• No prior postdoctoral experience required.
• Demonstrated learning agility and ability to adapt to new protocols.
• Strong teamwork orientation and effective written and verbal communication.
