Postdoctoral Associate – Dermatology Research

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Dermatology seeks a full‑time Postdoctoral Associate to advance wound‑healing research in its Molecular Laboratory. You will work under the supervision of senior investigators, contributing to high‑impact scientific studies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute molecular and cellular experiments, including nucleic acid extraction, PCR/RT‑PCR, Western blot, immunostaining, cell culture, transfection, and cell sorting.
• Perform transcriptomic and proteomic (MS, O‑Link) omics experiments and conduct computational analyses of next‑generation sequencing and proteomics data.
• Prepare research reports, technical papers, and assist in manuscript and grant writing.
• Present findings at internal meetings, university seminars, and professional conferences.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with university policies.
• Mentor students, technicians, and junior postdocs in translational research techniques.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Dermatology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex research projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a solid understanding of current scientific literature.
