About the role
The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Dermatology – Wound Healing Molecular Laboratory seeks a full‑time Postdoctoral Associate to conduct independent and collaborative research in dermatology and wound healing.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and analyze original research projects in molecular and cell biology.
- Perform laboratory techniques such as nucleic acid extraction, PCR, RT‑PCR, Western blot, immunostaining, cell culture, transfection, and cell sorting.
- Analyze genomic data generated from next‑generation sequencing platforms.
- Prepare research reports, technical papers, and assist in manuscript and grant writing.
- Present findings at professional meetings and maintain accurate laboratory records.
- Adhere to university policies and safeguard institutional assets.
Required profile
- Doctorate degree in a relevant scientific field.
- Strong learning agility and ability to adapt to new protocols.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Required skills
- Nucleic acid extraction and manipulation
- Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and quantitative RT‑PCR
- Western blot analysis
