About the role
The Department of Cell Biology at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Postdoctoral Associate to join the Weinberger lab. The position focuses on fundamental mechanisms of gene regulation, transcriptional circuits, and the development of novel therapeutic strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct independent research on gene‑regulatory networks, feedback regulation, and stochastic expression noise.
- Design and execute experiments using microscopy, flow cytometry, and molecular biology techniques.
- Develop and apply computational and mathematical models to interpret experimental data.
- Prepare research reports, technical papers, and contribute to scientific publications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and adhere to university policies.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, physics, engineering).
- Strong ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex data.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and sound scientific judgment.
- No prior postdoctoral experience required.
