About the role
The Department of Cell Biology at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Postdoctoral Associate to join the Weinberger Lab. The role involves conducting independent research on gene regulation, transcriptional circuits, and developing novel therapeutic strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments investigating gene‑regulatory networks, feedback mechanisms, and stochastic expression noise.
- Prepare research reports and technical manuscripts for publication.
- Develop and apply computational and mathematical models to support experimental findings.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art scientific principles and laboratory techniques.
- Adhere to university policies and safeguard institutional assets.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, physics, chemistry, engineering).
- Strong ability to collect, organize, and analyze scientific data.
- Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑decision skills.
