Postdoctoral Associate – Biophysics Research

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a highly motivated scientist to join a multidisciplinary laboratory focused on biophysical and cellular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular, renal, and respiratory health. The Postdoctoral Associate will lead independent projects, publish in high‑impact journals, and mentor junior trainees.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on assigned biophysical and cellular topics, including single‑molecule force spectroscopy and fluorescence imaging.
• Prepare research reports and technical manuscripts for publication in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Develop and apply advanced analytical models, microfluidic platforms, and organoid systems to study physiological processes.
• Mentor junior trainees and present findings at scientific conferences.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Biophysics, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Physics or a related field.
• Up to two years of postdoctoral experience; at least one first‑author paper accepted for publication.
