About the role
The University of Miami seeks a full‑time Postdoctoral Associate to conduct independent scientific research in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. The role focuses on HIV‑1 and drug‑induced mechanisms of injury to the brain endothelium and blood‑brain barrier, under the supervision of senior faculty.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute cell‑culture, molecular, and cellular biology experiments.
- Perform animal studies to investigate brain injury mechanisms, following ethical guidelines.
- Handle HIV‑1 research safely, with training provided as needed.
- Prepare research reports, technical papers, and present findings at meetings and conferences.
- Develop analytical models and contribute to strategic decision‑making.
- Adhere to university policies and safeguard institutional assets.
Required profile
- MD or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline.
- No prior postdoctoral experience required.
