Post-Residential Coordinator for Youth Challenge Program

About the role

The Youth Challenge Program (YCP) at Fort Stewart seeks a Post‑Residential Coordinator to support cadets after they complete the 22‑week residential phase. The coordinator will act as a mentor‑liaison, deliver life‑skill training, and ensure compliance with program requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct mentor training sessions for individuals and groups.
• Teach life‑coping and job‑acquisition skills, including resume writing and job application processes.
• Serve as the primary campus liaison for mentors and mentees, preparing passes, correspondence, and monthly reports.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in the program database.
• Implement procedures that satisfy Youth Challenge Cooperative Agreement requirements.
• Promote and sustain mentor‑mentee relationships.
• Contribute to Cadet Improvement Plans as a team member.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and service‑learning projects as needed.

Required profile

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Experience working with at‑risk youth or in a residential program is preferred.

Required skills

• Mentor training and facilitation.
• Lesson planning and delivery of life‑skill curricula.
• Database entry and record‑keeping.
• Knowledge of Youth Challenge Cooperative Agreement guidelines.
