Post Market Quality Engineering Intern

About the role

Stryker is looking for a Post Market Quality Engineering intern in Redmond, working onsite. The intern works with internal cross-functional teams and customers to investigate device failures and document investigations, ensuring the quality and performance of the Class 3 product portfolio (AEDs, defibrillators, automated chest compression devices) in the field. The role also touches on product risk management in line with ISO 14971, including process improvements, risk documentation updates and harm occurrence calculations.

Key responsibilities

• Pursue and document investigations of device failures with internal teams and customers
• Ensure the quality and performance of Class 3 products in the field
• Contribute to product risk management (ISO 14971) through process improvements, risk documentation updates and harm occurrence investigations
• Document complex processes and present them clearly

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field, remaining enrolled after the internship
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, verified at hire
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without needing employment-based sponsorship
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment

• Pay of $20 minimum to $35 maximum per hour
