About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of OBYGN seeks a full‑time Post‑Doctoral Associate to conduct independent scientific research in Miami, FL. The role involves designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to the scientific literature.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on assigned projects, including cell culture and molecular biology studies.
• Plan, schedule, and perform laboratory experiments; maintain accurate records.
• Develop, adapt, and implement new laboratory procedures.
• Perform complex molecular techniques such as flow cytometry, PCR, RT‑PCR, Q‑PCR, Western blotting, DNA/RNA extraction, recombinant protein purification, transfection, aptamer isolation, and multi‑omics (scRNA‑seq, ATAC‑seq, scDNA‑seq).
• Prepare research reports, technical papers, and figures for manuscripts and presentations using PowerPoint, R, Python, and graphics software.
• Search scientific literature, present data in meetings, and collaborate with scientists and clinicians in international low‑resource settings.
• Adhere to university policies and safeguard institutional assets.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant field (molecular genetics, genomics, or cell biology preferred).
• No prior post‑doctoral experience required.
• Strong ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and sound judgment for critical decisions.
