Portfolio Administrator – Affordable Housing (Remote, CA)

About the role

This position supports Greystar’s affordable‑housing portfolio in California by ensuring full regulatory compliance and smooth program implementation for multiple communities.

Key responsibilities

• Review, monitor, and verify property compliance with all affordable‑housing program reporting requirements.
• Prepare and distribute compliance reports to local governmental agencies in partnership with Community Managers.
• Manage resident correspondence, eligibility documentation, and maintain accurate resident files.
• Conduct property file audits, identify non‑compliance findings, and communicate corrective actions to Regional Property Managers.
• Validate weekly occupancy and recertification reports for accuracy and relay findings to clients and community staff.
• Monitor income limits and utility allowances; assist with income/asset verification, rent calculations, and household certifications.
• Stay current on regulatory changes from agencies such as TCAC and HUD, and disseminate updates to relevant teams.
• Coordinate with HUD, Public Housing Agencies, state finance agencies, and other regulators as needed.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in affordable‑housing compliance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of state and local affordable‑housing regulations and reporting processes.
• Ability to work remotely with a Monday‑Friday schedule while maintaining clear communication with community teams.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent documentation and audit skills.
• Effective coordination with external regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
