Poison Control Specialist – RN (Temporary)

About the role

The Poison Control Specialist/RN provides timely clinical information and treatment recommendations to healthcare providers and the public regarding toxic or potentially toxic exposures. This role supports the health and safety of the community by serving as a trusted resource for medication and poison information.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information and treatment advice to callers about toxic exposures.
• Create and update electronic medical records for each inquiry.
• Deliver educational information on toxic and drug substances to callers.
• Assist in the education and instruction of professional students and residents.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Strong reading, writing, and computer skills.
• Preferred: Emergency Department or critical care nursing experience; new RN graduates with prior LPN experience in emergency or critical care are also considered.

Required skills

• Computer proficiency for electronic record entry.
