Platform Engineer

About the role

Resend is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and improve the infrastructure that powers its email platform. This fully remote role supports engineers worldwide, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, operate, and scale cloud infrastructure on AWS with a focus on reliability, performance, and security.
• Automate operational tasks and create self‑service workflows for common engineering activities.
• Establish platform standards and patterns to enable consistent service deployment and operation.
• Improve reliability and observability, participate in incident response, and turn issues into lasting improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to solve infrastructure challenges and build reusable solutions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform, or SRE roles.
• Strong background managing production infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, Terraform, Pulumi).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud services, networking, and load balancing.
• Excellent written and spoken English with ability to overlap Americas working hours.

Required skills

• AWS (including CDK, Terraform, Pulumi)
• Observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
• Node.js, TypeScript, Go, Postgres
• Experience with queues, workers, databases, caching, and networking
