Plant Operator – Asphalt Production

About the role

The Plant Operator supports the asphalt production line, ensuring high‑quality batches are produced safely and efficiently. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, either independently or as part of a small team, following strict safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and certify packaging, truck loading, and unloading stations.
• Enter production data, process bills of lading, and maintain organized records.
• Perform laboratory tests on asphalt to verify product specifications and inbound material quality.
• Generate analysis reports for outbound shipments.
• Operate a forklift after certification and assist with material handling.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to plant environmental policies, safety regulations, and good housekeeping practices.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including possible holiday or weekend hours.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work both alone and in a team.
• Physical stamina to stand 10‑12 hours, lift up to 50 lb, and handle repetitive motions.
