Pipeline Technician – NGL Assets

About the role

The Pipeline Technician will travel extensively across New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma to support Targa's NGL pipeline assets. Working directly in the field, you will ensure the safe operation, maintenance, and integrity of natural gas and liquid NGL pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pipelines and associated facilities.
• Troubleshoot, test, and repair reciprocating compression equipment, valves, valve operators, filtration and relief systems.
• Conduct periodic inspections, integrity testing, and complete required service reports.
• Respond to one‑call emergencies, locate leaks, and execute emergency shutdowns when needed.
• Support commissioning of new pipelines and provide data for regulatory reporting.
• Maintain a company vehicle safely and travel 50‑75% of the time.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in pipeline or related field operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for coordination with controllers and support teams.
