Pipeline Laborer

About the role

EnerMech is looking for a hardworking, safety-focused Pipeline Laborer to support the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of pipeline systems. The role involves a variety of field tasks in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, assisting with excavation, trenching, pipe alignment, material handling and site preparation in line with company procedures and industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Dig trenches and ditches to lay pipelines to the required depth and alignment, and clean and prepare job sites for construction.
• Align and position pipes for welding or sealing, and apply protective coatings to prevent corrosion.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on existing pipelines, replace pipe sections, seal leaks and conduct pressure tests.
• Operate machinery such as backhoes and excavators following safety protocols.
• Follow safety guidelines, take part in safety training, and install pipeline markers and warning signs.
• Assist with environmental restoration after construction, such as replanting vegetation and restoring habitats.

Required profile

• High school diploma, bachelor's degree or similar field; experience is listed as a requirement.
• Hands-on experience in construction or pipeline work is preferred.
• Familiarity with heavy machinery operation and physically labor-intensive work is advantageous.

Required skills

• OSHA safety training and a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be beneficial for certain tasks or advancement.

The salary range is USD 62,400 to 124,800, and the workplace is on site. Applications are made through the company's application process.
