About the role
Worley, a global energy, chemicals and resources company, is hiring a Pipefitter 1 in Cameron, Louisiana. The role covers laying out, positioning and fitting together fabricated pipe parts, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial construction or maintenance.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, ISOs, field installations, material takeoffs, field sketches and specifications
- Fabricate and install screw pipe, socket weld pipe, stainless tubing, carbon steel weld pipe and stainless steel weld pipe
- Miter and fabricate all pipe
- Install valves, underground pipe, pipe hangers and supports
- Steam and heat tracing
- Use a beveling machine
- Perform basic plumbing repair and minor valve maintenance and repair
- Test piping systems and leak test tubing systems
- Oxygen and acetylene cutting and basic rigging
- Operate pneumatic and electric tools
Required profile
- Minimum 4 years of industrial construction or maintenance industry experience
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel and perform repetitive motions
