Pickup & Delivery Driver (Tractor‑Trailer)

About the role

As a Pickup & Delivery (P&D) Driver you will transport freight locally, representing Southeastern Freight Lines to our customers. You will operate a tractor‑trailer, handling coupling, uncoupling, and equipment adjustments while ensuring safe and timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo, including hazardous materials.
• Couple and uncouple trailers, connect lines, and adjust equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate transport documents and driving logs.
• Navigate heavy traffic and tight spaces while adhering to DOT regulations.
• Report any incidents, delays, or safety concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months (preferred 1 year) of driving experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math in English.
• Compliance with all DOT rules, hours‑of‑service, and hazardous‑material regulations.
• Pass DOT physical, alcohol, and drug tests.

Required skills

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no automatic restrictions.
• HAZMAT endorsement.
• Tanker endorsement.
• Twin Trailer endorsement.
