About the role

The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery seeks a licensed Physician Specialist to provide internal medicine services at the Chester Mental Health Center. This full‑time, non‑administrative position focuses on delivering comprehensive medical care to patients within a behavioral health setting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical examinations, including mental and physical assessments, for patients at the mental health center.
• Coordinate and direct patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary staff to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide direct medical interventions and oversee the delivery of internal medicine services.

Required profile

• Valid Illinois license to practice medicine in internal medicine.
• Experience in delivering primary care within a behavioral health or similar clinical environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in internal medicine clinical practices.
• Ability to consult with and advise multidisciplinary teams on patient medical status and treatment.
