Physician - Rheumatology

About the role

Ochsner Health Baton Rouge is seeking a full‑time Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Rheumatologist to join its expanding rheumatology service line. The position focuses on outpatient clinical care, including assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal, rheumatic and systemic autoimmune conditions across multiple clinics.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outpatient clinical care for patients with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.
• Participate in a weekly outpatient call rotation shared among the rheumatology physicians.
• Utilize on‑site infusion suite, laboratory and radiology services as part of patient management.
• Engage in teaching and research opportunities within the integrated health system.

Required profile

• Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in Rheumatology.
• Desire to work in a collaborative, multi‑specialty environment.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality patient care in an outpatient setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Experience managing infusion therapies and coordinating with laboratory and radiology services.
