About the role

The University of Miami seeks a Physician Assistant to join the Neurological Surgery and Neurosciences team. Working under physician supervision, you will deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast‑paced academic medical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and provide patient care, including comprehensive physical examinations and health history documentation.
• Make preliminary diagnoses, order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X‑rays, ECGs, and laboratory work.
• Perform minor procedures including immunizations, injections, suturing, and wound care.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, provide health education, and assist with emergency treatments.
• Document accurate medical records, report changes in patient conditions, and participate in audits related to billed services.
• Adhere to University policies and safeguard institutional assets.

Required profile

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Valid State of Florida Physician Assistant license.
• No prior experience required; entry‑level candidates are welcome.
• Demonstrated learning agility, teamwork, technical proficiency with office software, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
