Physical Therapy Assistant – Pediatric Rehabilitation

About the role

Join UAMS Kids First as a Physical Therapy Assistant and make a lasting impact on children from birth to age five with gross motor delays. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence‑based, developmentally appropriate therapy in a family‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individualized pediatric physical therapy, monitor progress, and adjust interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and weekly billing in compliance with UAMS Kids First and Medicaid requirements.
• Collaborate with families and the care team to promote family‑centered care and educate caregivers on home and community activities.
• Participate in research, education, and community outreach initiatives that advance pediatric care.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies.
• Current PTA licensure.
• Preferred: two years of PTA experience, especially with children birth‑to‑5 and gross‑motor developmental disorders.

Required skills

• Evidence‑based pediatric physical therapy techniques.
• Clinical documentation and billing proficiency.
