Physical Therapy Assistant – Pediatric Care

About the role

Join UAMS Kids First as a Physical Therapy Assistant and make a lasting impact on children from birth to age 5 with gross motor delays or developmental disorders. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence‑based, developmentally appropriate physical therapy in a family‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individualized pediatric physical therapy, monitor progress, and adjust interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and weekly billing in compliance with UAMS Kids First and Medicaid requirements.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, social workers, developmental staff, and families to ensure coordinated, high‑quality care.
• Participate in research, education, community outreach, and other initiatives that advance pediatric care.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies.
• Current PTA licensure.
• Preferred: two years of PTA experience, especially with children birth‑to‑5 and gross‑motor developmental disorders.
