Physical Therapy Assistant – Inpatient (Full‑time)

About the role

This full‑time position provides routine treatment to inpatients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA delivers direct patient care after evaluation, documents progress, and follows the prescribed plan of care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Communicate and document any changes in the patient’s status and inform the therapist of reassessments.
• Maintain patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in staff and committee projects and achieve established productivity levels.
• Educate and train others within the discipline when required.
• Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communication preferences.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Computer skills for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and keyboard use.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
