About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Physical Therapy is seeking a full‑time Physical Therapy Assistant 2 to join its Doral clinic. The PTA will support patient rehabilitation, implement treatment plans, and monitor progress under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with patient evaluations, goal setting, and development of treatment plans.
• Facilitate therapeutic exercises and use treatment equipment safely.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient interactions accurately.
• Provide education to patients and families about conditions and home activities.
• Communicate with the rehabilitation team, physicians, and staff to coordinate care.
• Participate in quality‑and‑safety initiatives and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Support clinic operations, staffing adjustments, and quality‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Associate degree from an APTA‑approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Minimum three years of relevant clinical experience.
• Current, valid State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant license.
