Physical Therapist – Outpatient Orthopedic (PRN)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to join the outpatient orthopedic team at Sheffield Family Health Center. This part‑time, as‑needed position supports patients with musculoskeletal conditions, providing compassionate, evidence‑based care.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and conduct prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for bones, joints, muscles and tendons.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments, establish and revise plans of care, and document progress.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students and other caregivers during treatment sessions.
• Maintain a healing atmosphere and demonstrate sensitivity to patients experiencing pain.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Physical Therapy.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Ability to meet heavy‑level physical demands, including walking, climbing stairs, lifting patients, and maintaining balance.

Required skills

• Physical therapy assessment and intervention techniques.
• Development and modification of individualized care plans.
• Use of standard precautions and personal protective equipment.
• Clear verbal communication for patient instruction and education.
