About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Physical Therapy seeks a part‑time Physical Therapist II to provide rehabilitation services in Kendall, FL. The role involves evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients, set goals, and create individualized treatment plans.
• Progress patients through treatment levels while documenting all interactions.
• Communicate with physicians and other team members to adjust care plans as needed.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants, support staff, and students.
• Participate in quality‑and‑safety improvement activities and departmental education programs.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Minimum three years of relevant clinical experience.
• Valid State of Florida Physical Therapist license.
• Commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and adherence to university policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with treatment equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, iontophoresis, vasopneumatic pump, goniometer, and isokinetic exercise devices.
• Ability to operate mobility aids and patient handling equipment (walkers, crutches, lifts, hospital beds).
• Skilled in using office software and standard computer applications for documentation.
