Physical Therapist II (Full-time)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Physical Therapy is seeking a full‑time Physical Therapist II to join its Doral, FL clinic. The role involves delivering evidence‑based rehabilitation services in line with APTA guidelines while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients, set goals, and develop treatment plans.
• Progress patients through treatment levels within their maximum capabilities.
• Document all evaluations, treatments, and patient interactions accurately.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions and therapy processes.
• Maintain effective communication with the rehabilitation team and physicians.
• Coordinate with physicians to obtain additional information and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Participate in quality and safety improvement initiatives.
• Orient, instruct, and supervise assistants, support personnel, and physical therapy students.
• Deliver or support educational programs for staff, patients, and the community.
• Represent the university at conferences and seminars.
• Adhere to university policies, safeguard assets, and follow unit‑level procedures.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant clinical experience.
• Valid State of Florida Physical Therapist license.
• Demonstrated learning agility, teamwork, and strong communication skills.
