Physical Therapist I – Full‑time Position

About the role

The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Physical Therapist I to provide therapy and wellness services to patients in Kendall, FL. You will help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate new patients, set goals, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient interactions daily.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and home‑care activities.
• Communicate with physicians and other clinicians to coordinate care and adjust treatment plans.
• Use therapy tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain productivity and adjust schedule during clinic emergencies.
• Participate in quality and safety improvement initiatives.
• Supervise and guide assistants and support staff.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
• Relevant certification and licensing.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize under pressure.
• Discretion in handling confidential information.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Commitment to university core values and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
