Physical Therapist 4 (Part‑time) – Rehabilitation Services

About the role

The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Miami is seeking a part‑time Physical Therapist 4 to deliver high‑quality rehabilitation services in Plantation, FL. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to assess, treat, and educate patients according to APTA guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, set goals, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Progress patients through treatment phases while documenting all interactions.
• Provide education to patients and families about conditions and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, psychologists, and other team members.
• Supervise, mentor, and train physical therapy assistants, support staff, and students.
• Participate in quality‑improvement and safety initiatives.
• Represent the university at conferences and community events.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of clinical experience in physical therapy.
• Current, valid State of Florida Physical Therapist license.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
