About the role

The Phlebotomy Technician joins the Medical Laboratory team at Cleveland Clinic's Twinsburg Family Health and Surgery Center, providing a positive patient experience while collecting and processing specimens accurately.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform blood collection procedures, follow venipuncture protocols, and maintain log sheets.
  • Verify order requests, label specimens, and deliver them to the appropriate processing area.
  • Process specimens including accessioning, centrifugation, and packaging; pick up and deliver blood, other samples, and lab supplies.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Technical proficiency with standard phlebotomy procedures and common laboratory practices.
  • Preferred: Formal Phlebotomy Certification, graduation from an accredited phlebotomy program with clinical rotation, and at least one year of phlebotomy experience.

Required skills

  • Venipuncture and blood collection techniques.
  • Specimen labeling and accessioning.
  • Centrifugation and sample packaging.
