Pharmacy Technician – Per Diem (Plantation, FL)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support its pharmacy operations in Plantation, FL. Working under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will compound, dispense, and manage medication inventories while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Weigh, count, measure, and mix medications according to prescriptions.
• Maintain inventory levels, receive and store supplies, and verify stock accuracy.
• Process written prescriptions, fill orders, and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
• Answer phone calls, assist customers with basic inquiries, and direct them to appropriate staff.
• Label medication bottles and manage patient profiles and records.
• Transfer medication using aseptic techniques and operate robotic dispensing machines.
• Prepare and submit medical insurance claim forms.
• Adhere to university policies and safeguard assets.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant pharmacy experience.
• Valid State of Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license.
