About the role

The University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a full‑time Pharmacy Technician 2 to support clinical investigational drug (CID) operations and chemotherapy preparation. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe and compliant handling of investigational and therapeutic agents.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the clinical investigational drug inventory (approximately 20% of time).
• Provide technical assistance with clinical trial protocols (approximately 20%).
• Maintain records and information required by study protocols (approximately 10%).
• Perform drug distribution activities (approximately 10%).
• Prepare intravenous and chemotherapy products according to established procedures (approximately 10%).
• Keep CID work areas clean, orderly, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Support workload measurement functions and ensure proper functioning of pharmacy equipment.

Required profile

• Current staff, faculty, or temporary employee of the University of Miami.
• Experience in pharmacy operations, especially within a clinical or research setting.
• Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations.
