Pharmacy Packing Clerk

About the role

Meijer is hiring a Pharmacy Packing Clerk for its pharmacy in Fort Wayne. The role covers automated pharmaceutical warehouse operations, including receiving, storing and packing prescriptions for shipping, while following safety standards and standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Unload product from trucks, receive and store incoming supplies, and verify paperwork against received items from the distribution center.
• Read computer-generated screens to locate merchandise on labeled shelves, checking size and strength before storing.
• Process shipping orders, ensuring the right tote is on the right hub and closing out totes accurately.
• Pack prescriptions, sort orders by store location into totes, and separate product by lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Clean up spills in the production area, execute sorter activities and auto bagging, and prepare ice packs.
• Load outbound pallets of freight.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required for a Pharmacy Technician license.
• General housekeeping and retail or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to read computer-generated screens.
• Must be able to push, pull and lift more than 50 pounds.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CRT/PC systems is a plus.
• Effective communication skills.

Schedule: four 10.5-hour shifts from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM, Sunday through Friday, closed on Saturdays.
