About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Pharmacy Manager for its UHealth Coral Springs location. The role provides managerial and programmatic direction for pharmacy services, overseeing both distributive and clinical functions across patient care areas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop goals, objectives, and programs for the pharmacy department aligned with the organization’s strategic plan.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies, professional standards, and state/federal laws.
• Implement decisions of pharmaceutical, therapeutic, and hospital committees.
• Resolve issues with the medication distribution system and evaluate performance for improvement.
• Lead development and implementation of innovative medication delivery and drug‑therapy monitoring systems.
• Provide leadership and direction to pharmacy staff, fostering a supportive team environment.
• Manage capital and operational budgets, monitoring variances and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
• Oversee patient education on new prescriptions and refills.
• Make hiring, disciplinary, and promotion decisions for subordinates.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with university policies.
