Pharmacist I/II – Full-Time Position

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Pharmacist I or II to join the UAMS Health Benton/Bryant pharmacy team. This full‑time, regular‑position role offers varied shift work within a collaborative academic health‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescription medications and over‑the‑counter products.
• Verify prescription orders, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients and caregivers.
• Maintain inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and storage of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health‑care professionals to optimize patient therapy.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and medication safety programs.

Required profile

• Current, active pharmacist license in the United States.
• Pharmacy degree from an accredited program.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
