Pharmacist – Full-Time

About the role

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) is seeking a full‑time pharmacist to join the SoLe Mia pharmacy team. You will work in a clinical environment, compounding and dispensing medications while supporting physicians and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Compound and dispense medications prescribed by doctors and dentists, accurately calculating, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
• Assess medication identity, strength, and purity; review prescriptions for accuracy and suitability.
• Provide drug information, including interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage guidance.
• Analyze prescription trends to monitor patient compliance and prevent inappropriate use.
• Maintain pharmacy records, patient profiles, inventory logs, and controlled‑substance registries.
• Advise customers on medication brands, medical equipment, and healthcare supplies.
• Adhere to university and unit policies, safeguarding assets and ensuring proper disposal of pharmaceuticals.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant pharmacy experience.
• Valid State of Florida Registered Pharmacist license.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office software and pharmacy‑related computer applications.
