Pharmacist – Academic Health System

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth at SoLé Mia is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join its expanding academic health system. This position supports high‑quality patient care across multiple specialties, including oncology, ophthalmology, urology, neurology, and neurosurgery.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Compound and dispense medications prescribed by physicians and dentists, ensuring accurate calculations and proper dosages.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, assess medication identity, strength, and purity, and provide guidance on drug interactions, side effects, and storage.
• Analyze prescription trends to monitor patient compliance and prevent inappropriate usage.
• Maintain comprehensive pharmacy records, inventory controls, and registries for controlled substances.
• Advise customers on medication brands, medical equipment, and healthcare supplies while adhering to university policies.

Required profile

• Pharm.D. degree.
• Relevant certification or licensure in pharmacy.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Strong analytical abilities and sound judgment for critical decision‑making.
