Personal Lines Account Manager

About the role

A locally owned insurance agency in Cedar Rapids is seeking a licensed Personal Lines Account Manager. The role focuses on personal lines with some commercial lines support, delivering high‑quality service and growing the agency’s book of business.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members.
• Process client service requests such as policy changes, ID cards, certificates, and coverage quotes.
• Identify and sell additional personal lines coverages to existing accounts.
• Conduct annual insurance reviews and recommend coverage updates.
• Quote, review, and sell policies for inbound callers, walk‑ins, referrals, and existing clients.
• Provide risk‑management insight and clear coverage explanations.
• Support inbound sales opportunities and assist with claims advocacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation and meet agency service standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Active Iowa Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Minimum 3 years of personal lines insurance experience.
• Experience with Epic agency management software preferred.
• Exposure to commercial lines accounts is a plus.
• Prior experience in an independent insurance agency environment preferred.
