Personal Banker – Customer Relationship & Transaction Specialist

About the role

The Personal Banker provides courteous, professional service to branch customers, handling a wide range of non‑lending transactions and building lasting relationships. The role focuses on cross‑selling bank products and ensuring a smooth banking experience for individuals and businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close savings, checking, money market, and CD accounts for individuals, joint, custodial, and business customers.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, money orders, and cashier’s checks.
• Assist customers with account inquiries, wire transfers, address changes, stop payments, and digital banking access.
• Enroll customers in loyalty programs, redeem savings bonds, and handle foreign currency transactions.
• Maintain security controls to prevent fraud and comply with banking regulations.
• Provide additional services such as safe‑deposit box access, IRA/HSA account management, and notary services as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1‑2 years of related banking experience; vault experience preferred.
• Professional communication skills and high level of confidentiality.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
