Per Diem Staff Physician – OB/GYN

About the role

The Per Diem Staff Physician will join the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at the University of Miami. Working as an attending physician in the Generalist Division, you will provide comprehensive obstetric care to patients on inpatient units of Jackson Holtz Women’s & Children’s Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient obstetric attending services, including patient assessment, management, and delivery care.
• Collaborate with allied health professionals, specialists, and subspecialists across UHealth and Jackson Health Systems.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors.
• Document clinical encounters, prescribe medications, and ensure compliance with quality‑assurance and safety protocols.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree in a relevant medical field.
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in obstetrics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing education and adherence to confidentiality regulations.
