Per Diem Float Pharmacist

About the role

Genoa Healthcare, a pharmacy care services company within Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Per Diem Float Pharmacist for the Central/Northern New Jersey area. The pharmacist performs prescription-processing duties on an intermittent basis as a temporary employee. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with no nights, weekends or holidays; candidates must be available during that time. Pharmacy locations include Bridgewater, Lakewood, Bayville, Red Bank, Englewood and Hackensack, NJ, and locations can be flexible depending on where the candidate lives.

Key responsibilities

• Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provide information to customers about medications and their use
• Focus on delivering a high level of customer service
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administer immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
• Perform any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Current pharmacist license in the state of New Jersey
• Certified immunizer, or willing to become one within 3 months of hire
• Driver's license and access to reliable transportation

• Hourly pay ranging from $44.00 to $79.00, depending on factors such as local labor market, education, experience and certifications
