Per Diem Audiologist (Part‑time)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Otolaryngology seeks a Per Diem Audiologist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic hearing services on a part‑time basis. The role involves administering a range of audiological tests, interpreting results, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform immittance and emissions testing and record results for future reference.
• Conduct auditory evoked potential assessments for patients.
• Assess hearing sensitivity, provide patients with results, and counsel on findings.
• Dispense and fit assistive listening devices based on patient needs.
• Consult with physicians and other professionals regarding patient progress and future needs.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree in audiology (AuD) or equivalent.
• Valid State of Florida Audiologist license.
• Minimum one year of relevant clinical experience.
• Ability to learn new procedures, adapt to changing priorities, and work collaboratively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
