PeopleSoft HCM Business Analyst & Functional Lead (Remote)

About the role

Next Generation, Inc. is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft HCM Business Analyst & Functional Lead to support HR Data Science initiatives for a New York‑based client. This fully remote consulting position focuses on implementing and enhancing PeopleSoft HCM modules and driving HR system modernization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead analysis, planning and requirements gathering for new PeopleSoft HCM functionalities.
• Develop functional architecture models, process maps and conduct current‑state reviews to recommend improvements.
• Map business processes, oversee integration, and ensure data consistency across systems.
• Facilitate workshops, support full‑lifecycle implementation activities and lead testing and deployment.
• Design and develop reports, complex SQL scripts and PeopleSoft queries.
• Assist in resource planning, scheduling and deliverable oversight for functional enhancements.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of PeopleSoft HCM functional and technical experience.
• Extensive hands‑on expertise with Core HR, Compensation, Position Management, Talent Acquisition, ESS/MSS, Performance Management, Learning & Development and Benefits Administration modules.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.

Required skills

• PeopleSoft HCM functional and technical expertise.
• SQL scripting (DML and DQL) and PeopleSoft Query development.
• PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) familiarity.
• Kronos integration experience.
• Understanding of relational database architecture.
